Rafiki' Has Had A Fever For Past Few Days That Was.. 4th Nov 2018, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
'Rafiki' has had a fever for past few days that wasn't responding to medications. We had to hospitalize him and put him on intravenous fluids and commence aggressive supportive care to nurse him through his viral infection. He is the fur baby of one of our vet nurses and she's been worrying about him immensely. Thankfully he's finally responding to treatment. He is usually very timid with strangers and I feel privileged to have won his beautiful heart over. Please wish him a speedy recovery. ๐...

This Little Critter Was Brought In As He Was Found.. 2nd Nov 2018, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
This little critter was brought in as he was found on the ground. He's a fledgling. Very important not to rush and pick up these babies unless they are in direct danger of predation or being run over. It's important to give their mom opportunity to get him back in nest if he was blown out. A big shout out to the caring public and to the amazing wildlife carers we are blessed to have in Australia. ๐๐๐ #fledgling #wildlifecarers #birds #injuredwildlife

Mahaley' Is The Sweetest Pooch Ever. You Should Se.. 1st Nov 2018, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
'Mahaley' is the sweetest pooch ever. You should see how her tail wags with absolute vigour. Poor girl suffers from significant skin allergies and I'm so happy to be her vet now so I can help her owners manage her skin flare-up and keep her comfortable. It's very important to find a vet that explains in-depth that there is no quick fix to resolve skin issues and it's a big process trying to workout triggers and ongoing management. You must always also be offered referral to a veterinary dermatol...

Spud' Maltese Cross ''jack' Jack Russell Terrier A.. 31st Oct 2018, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
'Spud' (Maltese Cross) & ''Jack' (Jack Russell Terrier) are an inseperable geriatric duo. Spud needed a blood test to check his clotting and got all clear to go back to specialist for his liver biopsy to hopefully determine his definitive diagnosis. Jack came in for a repeat urine test and required more antibiotics. Please send Spud all your support for his upcoming procedure. ๐๐๐ #geriatriccanine #vetcheck #vetbloodtest #caninehepatopathy #jackrussellterrier #maltesecross

Snuggles' Is A Cheeky Old Biscuit. She's Perfectly.. 30th Oct 2018, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
'Snuggles' is a cheeky old biscuit. She's perfectly behaved for her regular anal gland expression and check up. However, as soon as she is put on the floor to be sent home, she starts vocalising at the top of her lungs to get her treats and there's no off switch. Her mom and I simply can't converse at the end of the consultation due to the barking commotion. Lucky she's cute and so you can't get cross with her. What embarrassing habits has your pet got? ๐๐๐ #vetcheck #corgicross #ter...

'Bella' (Maltese), 'Baxter' (Jack Russell Terrier Cross) & 'Ruby' (Fox Terrier Cross) are an adorable and very LOUD trio. They make sure to announce themselves when they arrive at the clinic. The trick with them is to divide and conquer if we need to do a thorough health check. Do you have pairs, trios or more and do you prefer taking them individually or together? ๐๐๐ #vetcheck #caninecomradary #maltese #jackrussellcross #foxterriercross

Dolly' Got Her Booster Vaccination Today. She Is Q.. 25th Oct 2018, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
'Dolly' got her booster vaccination today. She is quite a pretty toy poodle and has a very engaging loving nature. I was really taken with her. Her owners were advised by her breeder that ''toy poodles' don't get fleas. Other common untruth about poodles is it's normal for them to skip when in fact it is not. They are prone to suffering from luxating patellas and this can cause them to skip. Please be well researched and consult your veterinarian before getting a particular breed so you are well...
