It's Ferdinand - healthy again! The dog on the left has a familiar face and his game brings us such joy. Several weeks ago we were contacted as a last resort to save the life of a rescued street dog in Bosnia. He was in very bad shape and needed urgent surgery which his rescuer couldn't afford on her own. His rescuer and foster care mom Suzana explains:

30 Dogs Rescued from Deserted Waste Bin in Serbia
A few days ago, we were made aware that of 30 dogs living in a metal container in the middle of nowhere in municipality of Serbia. Though it looks like a garbage dumpster, the container is apparently a "shelter" for the street dogs. The council pay for the dogs to be kept there so that they’re not on the streets. At the veterinary clinic - won't use the bed or blanket. Has a long way to go to learn to trust again. ANOTHER ROOFTOP CAT: Hoping for Rescue Soon
Here is another photo of one of the kittens living on a rooftop in Turkey. Volunteers are feeding this family of kittens and their mother along with hundreds of other street dogs and cats daily. ROOFTOP CATS: Hoping for Rescue Soon
These cats are living on a rooftop in Turkey. Volunteers are feeding them and hundreds of other street dogs and cats daily. There is now and offer to bring this little family of cats to the United States and funds are being raised to cover their vaccines, spay/neuter, transport cages, etc. All in all, it will cost about $1,500 to get the entire family to safety and away from the people who are threatening to poison them.

These dogs in Dahab, Egypt are having their meals thanks to you today. Funds were sent to buy food for the hundreds of dogs who live here in the dessert and for thousands of others across the world this month.
