Dear Harmony Fund Supporters,
Thank you all for your outpouring of kindness. We received the following update from Sava's Safe Haven shelter in Romania:
"Hello dear friends, Today I wake up to 5am and arrived home at 7pm. I'm frozen and feel tired and sick. I'm cold and my back problems are too painfull! I can't bend.
I'd like to thanks because many people responded to our help appeal from yesterday. We was able to rent a tractor and buy food for next days.

"Friends I'm home after a HORRIBLE DAY. Friends I feel helpless against the weather! Today the access to shelter was blocked with snow , a huge amount of snow! Also the food room was blocked and all doors from paddocks! I do not lie , just take a look at photos! We fight with weather but we are helpless! Snow by over 2 metres!

Winter aid has just been sent to Asociatia Amicii Nostri Turda- Semper Fidelis in Transylvania, Romania. Volunteers did not waste time making use of donations today to help the 200 dogs they care for here.

Here we are at Sasha Pecic's shelter in Serbia where some 400+ dogs take refuge from the streets in a large, free-roaming oasis. This week, Sasha was out getting supplies for the shelter when he came upon a cardboard box with puppies inside.
"They were found on the street, in the box!," shelter volunteer Ana Mitrovic explains. "When we find babies like this, we always check if their mom is somewhere there, wait for her, sometime for the whole day."

OWL FOUND IN VACANT BUILDING SOARS FREE!
Last week, a snowy owl was rescued after it became trapped inside a vacant building on India Street in Portland, Maine. Tom Gagne, an experienced falconer, rescued the owl from the third floor of the Grand Trunk Railroad building. After spending a few days convalescing at Avian Haven, this one was ready to fly free again and released over a nearby marsh. So thankful to all who cared for this beautiful creature.

It's Ferdinand - healthy again! The dog on the left has a familiar face and his game brings us such joy. Several weeks ago we were contacted as a last resort to save the life of a rescued street dog in Bosnia.
