RESCUES IN BOSNIA: LOOK WHO IS SAFE NOW!
The rescues in Bosnia continue for animals impacted by extreme flooding. We want to show you this photo of a mother dog who is now caring for 16 puppies. A few days ago, she was nursing them all in the ruins of a broken down building. The pups were walking on piles of glass and they were all very hungry. Arijana Ari, who is a frequent volunteer rescuer had no funds to take them in but she asked, "How can I leave them?"

KITTEN STOPS HIGHWAY FAST LANE: FINDS INSTANT FAMILY

A kitten wandering through rush hour traffic on an Oakland, California freeway brought the fast lane to a complete standstill while freeway service workers attempted to free him from the wheel well of a black Saab.

If you were a dog in need, you couldn't do any better than this Harmony Fund sponsored sanctuary for 400+ dogs in Serbia. The haven is run by Sasha Pesic who thinks dogs should run in the fields, nap in the sun and sleep in a great big pile if they want to. We happen to agree.
Next week Harmony Fund will be sending over enough money to feed all the dogs here for another month. They are one of the many 'underdog' rescue centers worldw...

PUSHED FROM SUV, PUP BECOMES LUCKIEST IN ALL OF VEGAS!
Graci may just be the luckiest puppy in all of Las Vegas tonight.
Home surveillance footage taken earlier this week shows Graci being pushed out of an SUV that stopped briefly in front of the home of Toni Luisi, a Las Vegas animal advocate with two dogs of her own.
The video shows the puppy chasing after the SUV for several feet before entering Toni's yard in a panicked state.

DOG WITH HEAD TRAPPED IN PIPE IS SAFE NOW
Thank you South Carolina Heroes!
An Oconee County, South Carolina dog who was homeless for at least a year, has finally been caught and relieved of the piece of air conditioning duct that gripped his head for days. Though he was apparently able to eat and drink through the pipe, this was indeed a harrowing experience for this spirited stray.

HE'LL GO BACK TOMORROW WITH A BOAT TO SAVE THESE DOGS
Here are more dogs, discovered in a flooded region in Serbia today. People have evacuated their homes but were forced to leave their pets behind.
Volunteer Goran S, who receives monthly support from the Harmony Fund, is planning to bring all to safety tomorrow. He gave them food and water for today, but will need to go back with a boat tomorrow as the surrounding water is chest high.

PUP PLUCKED FROM FLOODED RIVER IN BOSNIA
This pup was saved from a flooded river in Bosnia today. The pup's rescuer, Arijana A., receives help from Harmony Fund for her amazing rescue work. She is one of many, many volunteers who are saving animals from the worst floods Bosnia has faced in 120 years.

PUPPY'S WHIMPERING HEARD BY AMAZED LANDFILL WORKER
Workers at a trash transfer station in Dickson, Tennessee rescued a puppy who may have been thrown out with the trash. Landfill worker 23-year-old Troy Holt was shocked to hear a whimpering sound as he was processing the trash. NARROW LEDGE SAVES LABRADOR FROM MASSIVE FREEFALL!

Firemen rescued a chocolate lab named Ike on Monday afternoon after the dog slid down a cliff in Mukilteo, Washington.
Ike's family had been frantically looking for him since he disappeared on Sunday, but it wasn't until the next day that a neighbor heard a whimpering and followed the sound. The neighbor was startled to find Ike standing on a narrow shelf about 20 feet down (6 meters) a cliff.
