Alica Curtovic was out for an evening walk with her dog when she heard a sound that set fire to every nerve ending in her body. This was the panicked distress call of a kitten. Looking around, Alica could see other cats in the area, all apparently tuned in to the crisis but helpless to do anything about it. Alica, who is expecting a baby, carefully got down on her knees and shined a light into a nearby sewer. Sure enough, there at the bottom, was a screeching, black ball of fur.

Panda Can't Walk - But She Sure Can Run!

Little Panda was injured in Romania two months ago. She was most likely hit by a car and was lying on the ground for days before rescuer Norica Prigoana was alerted to her suffering. Locals were afraid to touch this little paralyzed puppy, so they simply left her there. Panda's new life in the UK bears no resemblance to her former life. Today, she is a blissful puppy - full of energy.

DOG FALLS THROUGH ICE AND HIS BUDDY BARKS FOR HELP
Two dogs survived a very dangerous close-call in icy water. When one Labrador fell through the ice, his friend was determined to summon help. And he did! Although this initial news story didn't include this detail, and update shows that both dogs are from the same household and now back home together, safe & sound!

UKRAINIAN DOG OF WAR IS HEALED & ADOPTED
Lay your eyes on the spectacular transformation that has taken face for Bubus, a dog rescued from the city of Kramatorsk whille it was being bombed a few months ago. Bubus has now made a full physical recovery and today went home with his new "Dad".

UPDATE: Bombed-Out Ukrainian Animal Rescuer is Half Way to Safety
We've learned that the vehicle sent to Debalzevo in Ukraine has arrived safely. That vehicle will rescue a woman who was living in only a modest summer cottage with 30 animals because her home was bombed in the war in Ukraine. There is NO HEAT and she and the animals are literally freezing. The driver was unable to take them out of there today because of more violence along their route, so they decided to hunker down for one ...

We're hoping that perhaps one of our Facebook fans may have expertise and experience in selling fine art. One of our supporters named Yvette has very, very generously donated this Erté (Romain de Tirtoff) Byzantine, 1987 lithograph which belonged to her mother.
