DOG RETURNS LOST ITEMS TO AIRLINE PASSENGERS
This beagle is trained to return lost items to passengers in the airport. On one hand, it's unsettling to see a dog running through the airport on his own. On the other hand, the dog clearly seems to be enjoying himself and looks well cared for and proud of his job.
What do you think about this? Good idea? Bad idea?

LITTLE BARN FOR STRAY DOGS
Yesterday we sent a donation to purchase food for a group of rescued dogs taking shelter in a rented barn and this lovely adjoining field.
"Thank you so much," said rescuer Renata Josic in Tuzla, Bosnia. "You save the dogs and my life. I ordered 100 kg of dog food today. GUESS WHO HE FOUND ON THE RIDE HOME FROM THE AIRPORT?
Chris Gillenwater of Norfolk, Virginia was driving home after dropping a loved one at the airport when he spotted something in the road. As fate would have it, this rescuer was in the right place at just the right time.

SEEKING GOOD USED-CAR FOR CAT MISSIONS: MASSACHUSETTS
We're seeking a very good used car for use in local cat rescue volunteer group near our headquarters. The vehicle will be used to:
1. to collect torn bags of pet food from the local Walmart and deliver them to impoverished families
2. bring cats in for spay/neuter
3. to drive sick and injured animals to the veterinarian

These Were Michael Vick's Fighting Dogs-- But See Where They Are Now.

The five years Little Red spent in Michael Vick’s dog fighting ring, she was used as a “bait dog.” “Bait” animals are animals used to test a dog’s fighting skills– dogs like Little Red are often mauled or killed in the process. Little Red’s owner, Susan, never thought that Little Red needed to be rehabilitated, instead the pup needed time to recover. After being rescued from the dog fighting ring, Little Red lives a life full of treats and zooming around 6 acres of pasture.

---FOUND IN ATHENS TODAY
This little one was found alone in the street in Athens, Greece today. She's now safe in the care of volunteer Sanja D. We try not to ask ourselves who could abandon a kitten. Instead, we ask ourselves what we'd do without such WONDERFUL rescuers!

SURGERY HELPS MOTHER DOG DELIVER HEALTHY PUPS!
Rescuer Tracie Mitchum of South Carolina has lots of little reasons to smile. These pups and their mom were saved in an incredible last-minute intervention. It began a couple months back when Tracie got a call from her veterinarian about an urgent case.
