Marianne's Dog Food Bank in Bosnia received a great big gift from us today - funds to pay to transport a whole summer's worth of donated dog food from Denmark. Their worry of dogs going hungry has simply vanished.

PAMUK COULD FLY TO NEW YORK SOON!
There is a flight volunteer who could take this darling, young Turkish street cat with them to JFK airport in New York on the 26th of June. IF KIBBLE GREW ON TREES....
Just imagine how much easier our job would be if kibble grew on trees with long branches and plenty of low-lying "fruit" for street dogs and cats to nibble. Until Mother Nature creates a kibble tree, we have a plan. This summer we are providing nearly 500,000 meals to animals on the street and in 'underdog' animal rescue programs across the planet. New Green Overpass Will Let Wildlife Cross 6 Lanes Of Highway

On Tuesday, Washington State Department of Transportation crews broke ground on the state’s first animal overpass, a 150-foot wide-bridge surrounded by native trees and planted with vegetation designed to let bears, elk, otters and even mice pass over the ever-busy I-90 expressway.

THE SECRET WE'RE KEEPING FROM TOBY...
Amila Citakovic is a volunteer in Bosnia and the little guy in her lap is named Toby. What Toby doesn't know, what none of the dogs here at the Dawn's Nest refuge know, is that there's no money for food.

HORSE DESTINED FOR "DINNER" IS RESCUED!
This horse in Bosnia was just rescued from a trader taking him to the slaughterhouse. Just a week ago, the horse was a family pet, but like so many, he was eventually sold for his weight in 'meat'. But thanks to a split-second intervention, he won't be meat. Today and tomorrow and the day after, he'll simply be a horse. For a lifetime, he'll be free to graze and gallop and feel the tickle of the meadow grass against his legs.
