Mr. D, who is our largest four-legged child, is totally obsessed with a squeaky toy that we found at a local Walmart. It is toy is 10 inches long and shaped like a dolphin. It is white rubber or latex with pink, orange and purple polka dots all over.

Isn't it amazing how you can fall in love simply by looking at a photograph of an animal? Though many of them live thousands of miles away, you all are the greatest virtual guardians these animals could wish for. The last Sunday of each month is "Super Bowl Sunday" and we have just $5,705 to go in meeting our monthly budget to feed the thousands of animals who are dependent on us.

"DEAD" OWL SURPRISES RESCUER & RETURNS TO FLIGHT
Rich Briere and his dog Baxter were returning home from the pet groomer when they saw “a squashed tangle of feathers” in the road. Rich quickly pulled his car over with the idea that he could at least give the deceased bird a proper burial. This small rescue center in Serbia is run by Goran Smardzic, a martial arts instructor who has turned his back yard into a haven for former street dogs. Just imagine how much easier our job would be if kibble grew on trees with long branches and plenty of low-lying "fruit" for street dogs and cats to nibble. Until Mother Nature creates a kibble tree, we have a plan. This summer we are providing nearly 500,000 meals to animals on the street and in 'underdog' animal rescue programs across the planet.
