SAVED BY FIREFIGHTERS
In yet another outrageous case of neglect, three Sacramento, California dogs were found baking alive inside a car that had reached 160 degrees Fahrenheit (71 C).
A Sacramento Fire Department crew circled the vehicle parked at a shopping mall. Using a thermometer designed to detect the temperature inside the car, the crew quickly determined that the dogs weren't just hot, they were literally cooking.

ANYONE HAVE HIGH LEVEL CONNECTIONS IN BOSNIA?
Although it's unlikely, it can't hurt to ask. Does anyone have connections with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Or, specifically the Department of Environmental Protection which falls under the above ministry? We need assistance with a delicate and time sensitive wildlife rescue operation and someone with influence at that level would be extremely helpful right now. Please reply in the comments sect...

THIS GUY IS ABOUT TO BE RESCUED.... WE HOPE!
Harmony Fund is so active in rescues in Serbia and this dog really epitomizes the need for our constant support.
"About a month ago this emaciated boxer appeared on the streets of a tiny village but we only found out about him tonight," Jovana Ivanstanin of Serbia's Forgotten Paws explains.
"The locals are scared of him and are shooing him away. It is clear from the photos that he does not know how to look after himself on the streets. It is only a...

TREED CAT COULDN'T TRIED TO JUMP ON MY HEAD!
"This impromptu rescue was not my most graceful," Harmony Fund Founder Laura Simpson explains. "I got up the tree and the cat nearly jumped onto my head. I had to keep telling her "no" very firmly because she was putting us both in danger. When I raised the carrier above my head she actually leaped in with relief."
"She was so happy to have help arrive," Laura continued. "However I struggled to hold the carrier vertically in one hand while gripping...

DOG OF WAR STILL TRYING TO "KISS" RESCUERS
http://harmonyfund.org/donate
"This poor little soul came today to our shelter," said Viktoria Vasileva of the PIF shelter in Donestk, Ukraine. "The girl was injured in Debaltsevo several months ago. Debaltsevo is one of the hot spots on Ukraine's map where military conflict is still going on The nature of her injuries is unknown, we can only guess at what really happened to her, but most likely it was a fragment of a shell that caused them. It's scary...

BAREFOOT POLICE OFFICER SAVES PUP FROM WATERY DANGER
Every so often a photo shines light on a moment of heroism more than words ever could. This amazing image comes from Rhode Island resident Peggy Edwards who stayed on scene as a 911 call summoned help for a puppy trapped in a culvert.
The dog, now known to be Cece, had escaped from her Woonsocket home one day after arriving. Without her litter mates for the first time and unfamiliar with her new surroundings, Cece became frightened after sl...

Edina was on her way to visit the rescued cats she is temporarily boarding while they await adoption. Most of the time, she finds a friend to drive her, but this day she too...

LUCKIEST DOGS ON EARTH
http://harmonyfund.org/donate
Stevan Bojanic's home-based shelter is home to 100 dogs and 15 cats in Serbia. The dogs who escape their lives on the streets and find comfort here are some of the luckiest dogs on earth. It costs about 70 dollars a day to feed all dogs on the property, and as you can see, many arrive in poor health (this pair has mange). We are honored to grant a special wish to Stevan's dogs this week.
A WORLD OF THANKS to our AMAZING monthly donors who ...

Yes, this cat is named "But Mister..." He was so eager to have someone care for him, but everyone in his Croatian neighborhood hollered at him and shooed him away. You see, all they saw was matted fur on a sick-looking cat.But what if he could talk?
"But Mister, please don't be afraid of me. I am a good cat. I behave nicely around humans and I don't scratch. My body is sore and I have a hernia that causes me pain. My teeth are in poor...
