RESCUED FROM A DEEP WELL
MARYLYAND--- With a heat index near 110 degrees, the Harford County Technical Rescue Team and Aberdeen firefighters rescued this Saint Bernard named Mabel who fell into a dry well and was trapped 30 feet below ground.

THANKS FOR KEEPING THE LIGHT ON
All day long, messages are pouring in from 'underdog' animal rescue squads across the planet. They ask for food, veterinary medicines and help protecting animals from cruelty. Almost all of them feel very much alone and they have no one else to turn to.
I always tell them the same thing. "It's going to be OK. You are not alone. We have the very best supporters on the planet and they will light the way."

HELP FOR ROMANIAN PUPPIES?
Romanian rescuer Alexandra Sarau had no money to buy milk for the puppies she's caring for yesterday. She's exhausted, having taken in 33 puppies in the last 4 months alone. They often arrive sick and require round-the-clock care. She's feeling so alone today.

3 DOGS BAKING IN 160 DEGREE CAR OVEN
SAVED BY FIREFIGHTERS
In yet another outrageous case of neglect, three Sacramento, California dogs were found baking alive inside a car that had reached 160 degrees Fahrenheit (71 C).
A Sacramento Fire Department crew circled the vehicle parked at a shopping mall. Using a thermometer designed to detect the temperature inside the car, the crew quickly determined that the dogs weren't just hot, they were literally cooking.
