RESCUED JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS
Sometimes help arrives in the darkest places, despite all odds. Take a look at this sweetheart in Romania who was just rescued. He was tied up in a very remote location to spend not just one night, but EVERY night out there alone. This was his only "shelter" from the brutal cold, wind and snow that are on their way for the winter. Yet against all odds, he is now safe.

The emotional struggles of animal rescue are usually more powerful than the physical ones. But this past week, a small band of heroes came together in an extraordinary rescue of a dog stranded at a hydro-electric damn in Bosnia.

NEW WINTER HOUSES
FOR CAGE-FREE DOG SANCTUARY
All year long, Harmony Fund sponsors food and care for hundreds of dogs at this amazing free-running dog sanctuary in Serbia. It's run by a man named Sasha Pesic who started with nothing more than a dream to rescue a few animals.
Recently, Belgian volunteers from a group called Dog Happiness BE traveled to Serbia to construct some additional winter houses for the dogs.

HOLIDAY FOOD & WARMTH FOR THE DOGS
Have a look at the dramatic transformation that has occurred at this Romanian dog pound thanks to all of you. GENTLE GIANT RESCUES DOG FROM RIVER
Caki Bravo (shown here) is a tall, strong man who uses his might for homeless animals. He drives a taxi by night to earn a living and rescues dogs during the day. Caki is part of a team of rescuers in Bosnia and all of them are counting on Harmony Fund for help with food, veterinary care and sheltering a couple thousand dogs each month. These underdogs of animal rescue have nowhere else to turn.
