3 DAYS LEFT TO BUY ENOUGH FOOD
These snapshots were taken in Serbia where we are now feeding more than 1,110 rescued dogs and cats each day. February is a short month and we have only 3 days left to raise enough funds to buy all the food and supplies on March 1st. It's now more than 80,000 meals we provide daily, carried into underdog rescue centers by foot, by bike, by truck and by sled.

A total of nine new puppies (2 litters) have been dumped over the last two nights at the rescue refuge of Bosnian hero Danka Kantar. She set up a stuffed raccoon and teddy bear to simulate a mother and is caring for each pup, day and night. With roughly 100 other animals to care for here, Danka is rather weary but her heart stay true to the little ones who need her now.

It's nearly impossible to imagine 1,100 hungry dogs waiting for their dinner, but that's exactly the situation we face each day. Every one of those dogs deserves love, a family of their own and freedom from hunger.
Although we are caring for animals all over the world, our "pack" in Serbia has risen to 1,100 at three big dog rescue centers. In this region, there is a large stray dog crisis and these rescued dogs now have a chance at a better life....

"I accidentally saw her from the car," rescuer Edina Pasic said from Sarajevo today. "We got out and immediately she got happy She started wagging her tail as if she knew me her whole life. Her ears and tail have been cropped. By that and the collar mark, it's obvious that she had owners. How could they just leave her?
