POLKA DOT PARTY for the PACK
With more than 750 dogs at Sasha Pesic's free-running dog sanctuary in Serbia, healthcare is a major undertaking. Several times per year our dogs need deworming and anti-flea treatment. Can you imagine how difficult and hard this job is in a shelter where the dogs all run free? That is why their foreheads are marked with color coded food dye. Soon there are polka dots everywhere!

"Would anybody be able to help a blind puppy in Tuzla? She is unprotected on the streets," Bosnian rescuer Rsumira Rodjakovic said this morning.

Our rescue partners internationally are preparing for the upcoming winter and the Bosnian Dream Shelter has asked our help to move this old container/ trailer to their property for their dogs.
"Regular prices are from 1500 euros and up," shelter founder Arijana Arijovic said. "With the price of only 400 euros, this will be great for dogs during the winter!" (plus 190 euros to transport the container)

Squirrel is a bunny rescued by the Harmony Fund charity a few months ago. He was found by a good Samaritan, and his nose had been injured. Although the injury had healed, he still had skin hanging from the nose and no one wanted to bring him home because they found it unsightly. People found him ugly. No one wanted him. With just 48 hours to raise enough funds to pay the boarding cost of 90 rescued dogs and to gather funds needed to buy food for the many dozens of street dogs fed daily Serbian rescuer Ivica Milisavljevic is afraid.

Our biggest challenge each month is in finding enough funds to feed all the dogs at the free-running sanctuary in Serbia. We're half way to the amount needed on September 1st.
