Today of all days, we want to show you that there is good in this world. This is Stevie, a dog who was living in Bosnia under a twisted matt of fur that tugged at his skin day and night. Squirrel is a bunny rescued by the Harmony Fund charity a few months ago. He was found by a good Samaritan, and his nose had been injured. Although the injury had healed, he still had skin hanging from the nose and no one wanted to bring him home because they found it unsightly. People found him ugly. No one wanted him. Our biggest challenge each month is in finding enough funds to feed all the dogs at the free-running sanctuary in Serbia. We're half way to the amount needed on September 1st. Any donations would be GREATLY appreciated by this hungry pack. They surely do love to eat! We need another $2,300 by September 1st in order to purchase a month's supply of meals.

"Mum is starving just like her pups," explains our rescue teammate Tinka from a village in Bosnia. "When I found them on wild, there were 8 puppies who were eating a carcass. I moved them to a safer place nearer to my house but I don't have anything else to feed them. I already take care for 40 abandoned dogs at my house. These homeless cats have never known the softer side of human nature, except for the kindness of our team. Each day, our team braves the extreme heat on an 8-10 hour delivery route to bring meals to more than 500 cats in this one Turkish community alone.
