“It was a real rescue mission,” Bojan at the Bark Ark in Bosnia explained this morning. “We got a call from a preist that there is dog with puppies near his church far up high in the mountains. I can't immagine anyone going up there to abandon a dog. What is wrong with people? It is the most remote and distant spot of this municipality. It takes 90 minutes of driving on dirt roads to get there. And once you get there there is nothing but wilderness. Deep pine wood for dozens of kilometers....

These dogs are (hopefully) about to leave the shelter in Bosnia and make their way to adoptive homes in the UK. Some have been waiting 2 or 3 years for this magical day when they can have a home of their own. We sent what we could for their travel, but another $270 remains to pay their way.
