Chris Hoar of Pet Pardons writes, "Helping animals doesn't have to be hard & it doesn't even have to cost a penny. It can be as simple as putting out a fresh bowl of water each morning so the little winged ones can have a drink and clean their wings. This bowl is very popular at the Hoar House, at least 100 birds a day stop by for a visit, up to 200 on holiday weekends, tourists i presume."

A month ago a street 'pet' with an injured eye was rescued by the Help in Suffering in Jaipur, Rajasthan- INDIA.
Surgery was performed and the dog received antibiotics and pain relief and other treatment at the Help in Suffering clinic.

Meet Cupcake, a cat who came to the USA from Turkey with her mother and siblings about a year ago. Here she is trying to be brave during a veterinary exam today. Felix cat sanctuary in Serbia has been chosen as SPCA International's Shelter of the Week. Founder Danica Mirkovic runs this special refuge for cats who once lived such dreadful lives on the streets. Karen Paolillo at Turgwe Hippo Trust is raising this young mongoose orphan. Karen is such a fine nanny to the wild things here in Zimbabwe and probably one of the few women in the world to have pet a wild wart hog or to touch a baby baboon in his mother's arms.
