Looks like these Turkish refugees are auditioning to be the next in the Pillow Pets line of stuffed animals. Thanks to all the hard work of Manuela Wroblewski in Avsallar, Turkey, so many homeless cats now have bright futures. TARZAN THE TAR-COATED KITTY GETS RESCUED
Anyone who has ever tried to clean oil off an animal knows that it’s a very long and tedious process that involves a lot of water, a lot of Dawn dish detergent and a whole lot of patience. But when it comes to taking tar off of an animal’s fur, well, it’s sort of like washing your hair in a sink full of chewing gum.
Last week a young orange tabby got himself into a very sticky situation when he wandered into a construction site in Hyde Park, Mass...

This young bear somehow got himself inside a pick up truck and the door shut behind him. "HEY....CAN WE HAVE A LITTLE PRIVACY PLEASE?"
www.HarmonyFund.org
Yes, Beast and Sweetheart do like their privacy but caretaker Karen F. couldn't resist sneaking this quick photo of the two enjoying the toys in one of their outbuildings. The cats are part of a colony of feral and semi-feral felines who were relocated just before winter when they were thrown out of their territory by the property owner.
The cats were all trapped and relocated to a home-based barn sanctuary which was specially...

India Bans Dolphin Performing Dolphin Shows
There will be no more dolphin shows in India thanks to a new ruling by India's Ministry of Environments and Forests which will no longer condone the behind-the-scenes cruelty that goes into 'training' dolphins to perform.
India has decided that dolphin pods are not to be hunted down in the ocean or bred in captivity for the purpose of making them into clowns for human amusement. Instead dolphins are to be appreciated for the intelligent and emot...

QUICK SIGNATURES NEEDED TO CONTINUE FOOD & SHELTER FOR CATS
After years of cooperation and consent to care for a feral cat colony on the grounds of the recycling center in Epping, New Hampshire, the town has suddenly decided to prohibit volunteers from feeding the cats and ordered their shelter to be torn down. These cats live as ferals but have become dependent on the food and shelter provided by caretakers. Please take a moment to sign this petition. Together we believe we can reverse this...

Help us help Bosnia's Dogs & Cats -
Please share this with your friends.
Willy was rescued as a very young puppy from the streets. Taken into foster but then had to be put in ‘pension’ (boarding) as the foster home already had too many dogs and cats. He’s a very lovable dog, in fact he is ‘love-thirsty’. Very playful, likes other dogs and cats. In fact, he's a notorious cat snuggler!
Willy spent all his puppyhood waiting for a home and now, as he's reached full size, he still w...

GIZMO's FUTURE?
Gizmo was rescued as a young puppy last year – he and his siblings were found in a garbage bin in Bosnia. Gizmo is amongst the few survivors of a bad outbreak of canine parvovirus, and has lived all his life in ‘pension’ (kennels). Because of a poor immune system he and his siblings have suffered from the skin condition demodex. He's slowly recovering, but living in pension, while is safer and better than on the streets, is not at all what he needs.
The only way he will f...

PUPPIES SAVED FROM SEALED BOX
www.HarmonyFund.org
In Serbia, Goran Samardžić always wanted a pet when he was a boy, but a broken family life simply prevented this form of comfort. As war and sanctions and suffering invaded his country, Goran's dream was slowly smothered. It wasn't until Goran grew up and got married that his love of animals was rekindled through the actions of his own little girl.
"She took food and milk from the house and went to feed the dogs," Goran said proudly of his...
