Ipoh City Council (Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh) has received complaints about dog cages on walkways which causes inconveniences. Upon arrival, it was found that there were a dog and its 11 new born puppies.
All the puppies including the mother dog was handed over to ISPC to be brought back to shelter.

TNR program has been implemented in Ipoh for more than 2 years, but however, not all cat or dog owners are willing to neuter them.

ISPCA was informed by Pasir Pinji RELA team that there was a male Manidae has gotten lost and entered into a residential . As Manidae is categorised as protected wildlife, thus ISPCA has contacted the Department of Wildlife & National Parks (Jabatan Perhilitan) and handed the manidae to them for temporary care at Sungkai.

This stray from Ipoh (TNR No.3135) has found a forever home.
For your information, this is one of the strays under TNR Program in Ipoh which has been released back to original location after being neutered and she was officially adopted by a kind family few days back, and now she is now called Molly.

1) This case was circulated around social media on 12/4/2020, on the same night, ISPCA has reported to Perak's Veterinary Department. On 13/4/2020 morning around 6am, the dog was already rescued out from the premise by Mr Goh.

The government-announced MCO has resulted in resources shortage, which affected our volunteers as there are shortages in cat/dog food for the strays. ISPCA food bank has received generous donation of 100kg of mutton from one of the frozen meat supplier. ISPCA management has decided to distribute these to our volunteers to continue in feeding the strays.

During this MCO period, Ipoh City Council (Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh or MBI) will be capturing strays especially those wandering around market or food court area. Up until now, there is no cases of Covid-19 transmission from animals to human but there are cases the other way round, according to Malaysia's Veterinary Department. This Poor Little Kitten Was Found In One Of The Dr.. 9th Apr 2020, by SPCA Ipoh
This poor little kitten was found in one of the drain in Gopeng area. Half of its face is injured which is suspected to be from car accident.
But despite that, it is still staying strong, our volunteer has sent her for treatment. She was then handed back to the volunteer to be taken care of and because of her will to survive, we have named her HEROO.
But the medical expenses for this treatment is high and we hereby hope to have some generous donations from public to cover the cost.

With this extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO) by our government, not only public
are facing difficulties, stray animals within shelters and those wandering on streets are
also having difficulties to survive due to the shortage of food.

The government-announced Movement Control Order (MCO) due to the current Covid-19 issue has restricted public from travelling and businesses are also forced to shut down during this period and thus, this resulted in the shortage of dog food in our ISPCA Shelter.
However, we are lucky enough to have one of Petaling Jaya's dog food suppliers/distributors' help as they have generously donated 57 packets of 12kg dog food for our food bank program.

ISPCA together with a few volunteers have visited a neighbourhood in Menglembu, Ipoh to get more information of the stray overpopulation issue there.
There is about 40 plus strays and all these strays are being fed by the people there, but however the problem is that they are not neutered and thus, the population is kept growing.

Ipoh City Council (Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh, MBI) has recently received complaint that there is someone from his/her neighbouring area are having quite a number of cats causing unpleasant smell and hygienic issue.
MBI requested ISPCA to assist in providing temporary shelters for these cats. However, ISPCA realized that many of these cats are with health issue, there are even 19 new born kittens still needing care in feeding.

Due To Klebang Residents Complaints Of Too Many St.. 7th Mar 2020, by SPCA Ipoh
Due to Klebang residents complaints of too many stray dogs, the law enforcement team of Ipoh Town Hall (MBI) went to capture them. These stray dogs are usually sent to the deck dump for exile.
