Still remember it?
When we first met it, it lost a front leg, and the meat and bones are seen.
After operation, it recovered fast and we returned it back to where it was found.
Kind volunteers continued to look after it.
Thanks to everyone who donated for its operation.

Grief Rescue悲痛的拯救

Today we received a desperate phone call, when our volunteers reached there, we found it in the drain, weak, old and blind.
The reporters asked sadly whether it can leave peacefully.
We held back our tears as we send it to the vet for its last sleep(PTS).
Thank you Mr Yong and family for RM100 donation and dog food for ISPCA.

15/3 Open Day

Today 3 groups of UTAR student volunteers came to the shelter and bathed and fed the animals. They also helped to wash the floor and car.
They also donated 165kg of food.We thank all the student volunteers who showed up.

Someone told us that they saw it in the drain a few days ago, but we couldn't contact the number. To day our volunteers went to the place and found it in a six, seven feet tall drain, famished until its too weak to move. We rescued it and sent it to the vet.

We received a phone (yuo gor) call for help and when our volunteers reached there we found out that there is a certain hardness. They told the volunteers that a few stray puppies were stuck in the middle of the drain. The drain is wet and dirty, the entrance is too small. With the help of residents and passerby’s, and a lot of manpower, the other entrance of the drain is opened and the volunteers used a lot of ways and tools to save the three pups from the drain. 2011 ANNUAL CHARITY DINNER

Our Annual Charity Dinner 2011 was successfully held on 7th November.
Guests filled the entire dining area of ground floor of The New She Lai Ton Restaurant and they were thereafter served a sumptuous dinner coupled with light entertainment which included a presentation of songs by several talented local artistes and a belly dancing performance while Mr Joe Ong took many guests down memory lane with his rendition of many hit songs of yester-years.

SHAKE-UP NEEDED IN MALAYSIA TO END ANIMAL ABUSE

Selangor SPCA has initiated a nationwide petition to bring the issue of animal cruelty directly to the Prime Minister. Many NGOs in Malaysia are supporting this including ISPCA. There is online signing and you can do this by going to The Peition Online @www.StopAnimalAbuse.my. or go to http://StopAnimalAbuse.PetFinder.my. You can download the Petition form and collect the signatures manually and send by 31 Dec 2011 to SPCA Selangor, Jalan Kerja Ayer Lama, 68000 Ampang Jaya.

MEETING WITH THE D V S IN PUTRAJAYA

The 10th of November 2010 will indeed be a day to remember.
Dato Dr Abd. Aziz, the Director General of The Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) convened a meeting in Putrajaya with several animal welfare groups (NGOs) with a view to discuss the shooting of dogs in the country. The meeting was triggered off by the shooting of a therapy dog belonging to an elderly lady in Ipoh several days prior.

1ST FELLOWSHIP OF ISPCA MEMBERS

Our fellowship was held on Sunday 24th October 2010 at The Lost World of Tambun, Ipoh.
It was actually partly held to observe World Animal Day which was hosted by The Lost World of Tambun (The Lost World).
