Tea for orang-utans!
.
Since 2017, 11 000 gaharu or agarwood saplings have been planted on degraded land near Rumah Manggat, Batang Ai, Sarawak. WWF-Malaysia worked with Forest Department Sarawak (FDS) and Rumah Manggat community to restore their degraded land in the area which forms part of a larger landscape called Ulu Sungai Menyang. The gaharu forest acts as a buffer zone as the landscape is often referred to as the gateway to ‘orang-utan country’ in the state. Traditionally, gaharu is h...

I found these busy bees collecting pollen from yellow water lilies. Bees live in colonies that contain the queen bee, worker bees and drones, but only the queen bee can reproduce. The bees store venom in a sac which is attached to their sting and only female bees sting.
.
Honey bees collect pollen as food for the entire colony; in return, they also pollinate plants. In their role as pollinators, be...

Photo 1 of Tales by Lens takeover Education for Sustainable Development Malaysia by @stanley1121 My first visual is this juvenile praying mantis. Shy and playful, it kept hiding behind the grass and took me a while to take this shot. These carnivorous insects can grow up to six inches, and they usually prey on other insects or their own kind. They can turn their head 180 degrees to observe the surroundings with their two large compound eyes.

Praying mantises are also known to exhibit sexual ca...

A great moment to celebrate with Adzam is this year alone - we managed to incubate more than 70,000 turtles eggs in Terengganu and release more than 75% of turtle hatchlings back to sea. Ma...
