Three Species That Have Not Been Seen In More Than.. 22nd Sep 2021, by WWF Malaysia
Three species that have not been seen in more than 80 years are Critically Endangered (Possibly Extinct) as reported by the #IUCNRedlist #GlobalSharkStatus
One of the species - the Lost Shark, Carcharhinus obsolerus can only be found in museums with its decade-old specimens, is now presumed extinct.
Malaysia needs an urgent plan to prevent extinction of sharks and rays ⚠️

Freshwater mussels are a crucial part of many freshwater habitats globally. Do you know? Muscles are biofilters. 🧐 Research led by the University of Nottingham has discovered two new species and a new genus of freshwater mussel in Borneo for the first time in almost 100 years. 🙌 The two new species were named Khairuloconcha lunbawangorum and Khairuloconcha sahanae.
