We are pleased to announce the appointment of new WWF-Malaysia Chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, effective today.
He is taking over the role from YAM Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, who completes his eight year term as WWF-Malaysia Chairman also today.
Tunku Ali will immediately assume the role of WWF-Malaysia President, in recognition of his contributions and experience in conservation during his tenure as Chairman.

Counter-trafficking experts conducted a specialized training course in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia from 20 to 24 June 2022. The course, which was officially launched by the Sabah Wildlife Department’s (5R Hidupan Liar) Director Augustine Tuuga, is designed to help local enforcers find and dismantle criminal networks that are targeting the state of Sabah’s rich biodiversity and attempting to use Sabah as part of their global, illicit wildlife supply chains.

Amazing, isn't it? 😮 Our deep sea is like nowhere else on Earth. Not only is it home to unique wildlife, it also locks away 25% of all the carbon that we emit.
But this important marine environment is in danger because of a new extractive industry known as deep seabed mining.
The process involves scraping the ocean floor up to four kilometres below the surface for metals and minerals, threatening to destroy the deep sea.
