Our oceans, forests, grasslands, animals, soils, and more absorb man-made CO2 and protect us from storm surges and floods.
We may lose nature as an ally. As pollution rises, nature's ability to absorb carbon weakens.
Protect and Restore is crucial if we want to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius, save lives, adapt to climate change, and slow it down.

The Turtle Nesting Monitoring project in Melaka covered under this grant will enable WWF-Malaysia to carry out collaborative turtle egg protection including egg trade monitoring, towards conserving the critically endangered hawksbill turtles.

A new paper co-authored by a team of international researchers including WWF-Malaysia has found that the majority of Asian elephants prefer slightly disturbed forests and areas of regrowth. This preference is thought to be related to food habits as elephants favour grasses, bamboo, palms and fast-growing trees, which are found in disturbed environments.
