Marine turtle inter-nesting areas and fishery activities sometimes happen within the same area at the same time. Turtle Guardians face the challenge of ensuring that both the fishermen and marine turtles can live together in harmony.
Satellite tracking will determine where some turtles roam when they inter-nest, forage or migrate. This information can be used to recommend best methods to avoid by-catch of turtles while fishery activities can run normally or shift locations.
