Hao Jin and the field team are currently conducting a general wildlife survey at Gunung Rara Forest Reserve. It demands both mental and physical strength as they have to walk for hours through very challenging terrain. WWF-Malaysia CEO Dr Dionysius Sharma with an injured Malayan box turtle that one of our colleagues found. They brought it to a vet who fixed its carapace. She brought it to our Kota Kinabalu office since she will be going to the field for three weeks starting today. Our office staff are taking care of it and monitoring it until it's healthy enough for release. Dr Dino incidently did his PhD on turtles. Good luck little guy! "Working with WWF-Malaysia has always been a dream of mine. I love my job as it comes with interesting field experiences and it lets me to be close to nature.
My most memorable experiences so far has been seeing a majestic tiger right in front my eyes, while I was patrolling with my team along a river.
We stumbled upon fresh pugmarks, indicating that a tiger had recently been there. Thrilled, we decided to continue trekking in search for more wildlife signs.
