On The Brink - Shariff Teaser 27th Jul 2018, by WWF Malaysia
Poaching is the most immediate threat to tigers.
From 2016 to 2017 alone, our patrol team has found close to 250 snares across the Belum-Temengor landscape. In the long run, these snares could empty the forests of large animals.
Unfortunately, there are not enough law enforcement personnel and rangers to patrol these forests.
We urgently need to add more boots on the ground, if we want to save our Malayan tiger from extinction.

This is the iconic photo of the last tiger of Cambodia captured in 2007. Because of traps set by poachers everywhere, tigers are now functionally extinct in the country. His story is a reminder of the fight we are still battling for wild tigers against organised crime syndicates and complacency. Get connected and tell his story.

Marine turtles play important roles for maintaining healthy marine ecosystems and their survival affects human survival in the long run. To stop threats, such as bycatch, egg poaching and direct-take, we need to stop buying, poaching, and eating turtles, their parts and eggs.
The Si Bokko Kalasahanku month-long roadshow aimed to spread that message. With the Sabah Wildlife Department, WWF-Malaysia and local Community-Based Organisations, we hope that the love and passion for our marine turtles...

A tiger trapped by poachers was rescued by our patrol team in Belum, Perak, only to succumb to its injuries after a few weeks. He was never given a name, thus earning the title, “Nameless”.
Unwilling to let wild tigers die a quiet death and in vain, he became our champion to call for an end to a relentless poaching crisis in Southeast Asia.
Get connected and tell his story. #GlobalTigerDay #connect2tigers: panda.org/connect2tigers.

Kementerian Air, Tanah Dan Sumber Asli 22nd Jul 2018, by WWF Malaysia
The iconic Malayan tiger features prominently in our daily lives, even though most of us have not seen a wild tiger in person before. With its numbers dwindling to less than 400 individuals in entire Peninsular Malaysia, we must no longer deny the fact that our national pride is facing a crisis.
To strengthen tiger conservation and protected area management of tiger priority sites in Malaysia, the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (PERHILITAN) and WWF-Malaysia recently jointly organised...
