Yesterday the Elephant Team of Sabah Terrestrial Conservation Programme was at Sabah Softwoods Berhad, Tawau, for the plantation's monthly Tamu (night market). As one of their efforts to reduce Human-Elephant Conflicts in south Sabah, the team set up an exhibition booth to raise awareness among plantation workers on the Dos and Don'ts when they encounter elephants. WWF's Annual Shark Survey continues in Sipadan Island this year with the help of Sabah Parks and Scuba Junkie Dive Centre.

KATS' Mangrove Nursery Project At SK Kuala Setiu And SK Mangkok, Setiu Wetlands 5th Dec 2018, by WWF Malaysia
Since January 2018, almost 500 people (including more than 300 student volunteers) were involved our mangrove nursery project in Setiu Wetlands.
SK Kuala Setiu and SK Mangkok's students played host to over 600 saplings from 7 mangrove species, watering, weeding and recording their growth during the project period.
We wish to thank Kementerian Air, Tanah dan Sumber Asli for their generosity in funding this endeavour to create Terengganu's young mangrove scientists.
