World Wildlife Day 2019 - Life Below Water: For People And Planet 3rd Mar 2019, by WWF Malaysia
Happy World Wildlife Day! Celebrate the day by setting up a goal, live our daily life with minimal negative impacts on wildlife and their habitats. No demand, no hunting! For a start, say no to any wildlife product like #sharkfin, #turtleegg, #hornbillcasque, #pangolinscale, any #wildlifemeat etc.
Other than that, reduce single-use plastics and avoid throwing your rubbish into either rivers or seas. This would greatly help to reduce the impact to wildlife under water!
Some marine animals may...

World Wildlife Day 2019 2nd Mar 2019, by WWF Malaysia
Eight million tonnes of plastic are leaking into our oceans every year.
It is a sad truth that many species of marine wildlife mistake plastic for food. An estimated 90% of seabirds and 50% of marine turtles have plastic in their stomachs.
Join us on World Wildlife Day as we call for a global agreement to stop marine plastic pollution.
Sign our petition now!

Whales use clicks, whistles and songs to locate food, raise calves, and find mates. Noise from oil and gas exploration and shipping makes life harder in Arctic seas.
Help us protect Arctic whales from underwater noise - let their governments know you want a quieter ocean!

Can you see the Orangutan nest on top of a tree surrounded by oil palm? Recently, WWF-Malaysia's Sabah Orangutan team conducted recce surveys and interviewed oil palm plantation owners adjacent to the Bukit Piton, a Class 1 Forest Reserve, to understand and record orangutan's persistence in plantations.
During the recce, the team spotted an orangutan nest built on top of an isolated Laran tree surrounded by oil palm. This suggests that planting tree species used by these apes can help to impro...
