"Hardly a month after the arrests of two Vietnamese poachers during PERHILITAN’s Special Protected Area Response Team (SPARTA) operations, we are seeing the biggest ever fine imposed on wildlife crime at an impressive RM 1.56 million and two years of imprisonment each.

Kedah To Gazette Ulu Muda Forest As A State Park T.. 14th May 2019, by WWF Malaysia
WWF-Malaysia applauds the Kedah state government, Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir for their decision to gazette Ulu Muda Forest Reserve as a state park, thus ensuring the water supply not only for the state, but also for neighbouring states Penang and Perlis.
Overcoming Kedah's water woes was one of the the promises made by the new government, and this is certainly a step in the right direction. Well done! 👏
