Protecting One Of Nature’s Drabbest Masterpieces F.. 23rd May 2019, by WWF Malaysia
"We need more researchers to study painted terrapins, because they might be ‘no oil paintings’ but they are priceless parts of the natural world and yet we know so little about them. We also need more funds to hire and train more people from the local communities to help conserve them, to establish a better hatchery, and to buy more field equipment such as microchips, scanners and satellite trackers."

Biodiversity Day Food 22nd May 2019, by WWF Malaysia
🤔💭#DYK That two of the biggest challenges we face today are halting nature loss and feeding a growing population? ⚠🛑
Loss in nature results in the loss of crops🌽 we depend on, which makes our food security less resilient. But how we produce our food is also causing natural ecosystems to shrink. We must transform what we eat and how we grow it, to secure our health🏥, our food 🍳, and our biodiversity🌎.

The rise in population and food consumption puts a strain on our 🌏 and the incredible diversity of life it supports - otherwise known as biodiversity! Diets need to transform; not only do we need more plant-based foods🥦, but meat and fish must be sustainable too.🐟
But diets must also fit local cultures and preferences, and be available and accessible to all. 🥒http://wwf.panda.org/our_work/food/sustainable _diets/

World Biodiversity Day - Food Diversity 22nd May 2019, by WWF Malaysia
🤔 💭#DYK we (or the world) get(s) nearly 50% of our plant-based calories from just three crops? Even though we could be eating thousands?
Without diversity in what we eat, our food system is less resilient to diseases and pests😷. The biodiversity we need to protect includes crops🌾 and animals we eat🐔, not just wild species 🦍🦒🦏.
As a consumer, you can do your part by eating a wider variety of foods 🥒🍄🍗🍱.
