YOUR HELP CAN MAKE THIS A REALITY AND CHANGE THE LIVES OF RESCUED ANIMALS!
About a month ago, ACRES was featured in the news again with regards to the contamination of our rescue centre land that was caused by a contractor, and the fact that the contractor has avoided paying us any damages at all. The news can be read here:

TWO WEEKS TO THE STANDARD CHARTERED MARATHON – SUZZIE’S STORY
Sadly, our local wild animals can sometimes get caught in snares that have been set up illegally. You may be surprised to know that these snares can sometimes be found in Singapore’s nature reserves and parks. Some of the animal victims lose their lives, while others have to live with painful wounds sustained as they desperately free themselves from the snares.

Our amazing volunteers are sincere, they are dedicated, and they are the ones who go through rain and shine with us. Nothing...

NATIVE WILDLIFE RESCUE ROUNDUP: 20 NOVEMBER 2015
1. (LEFT) EazyPee is a reticulated python who was playing hide and seek in a covered drain at a park. The caller was concerned that the snake was stuck. As we were in the midst of attending to another call at the time, we sought assistance from members of the Herpetological Society of Singapore (https://herpsocsg.wordpress.com/) to head on over first. Thanks go to Sankar Ananthanarayanan for ensuring that EazyPee was kept from harm until our res...

KOI BANGERS + IZAKAYA 22 NOV FUNDRAISING EVENT - WHERE WILL YOUR MONEY GO?
Oriental honey buzzards are migratory birds of prey that settle in Singapore between September and May. We received a call to help a weak and dehydrated Oriental honey buzzard found stranded in the Keppel Shipyard area. The bird was brought to our rescue centre for emergency treatment and to be kept under observation until we determined our feathered friend was well again. ACRES OUTDOOR SANCTUARY AREA TURNS TWO YEARS OLD!
Back in 2013, an army of dedicated volunteers helped the ACRES team transform an undeveloped piece of land into a naturalistic sanctuary for rescued tortoises and turtles in our care.
On the 14th of November 2013, this Main Sanctuary Area was officially opened, and the animals were released into their new homes. For many of the rescued tortoises, who were rescued from the illegal wildlife trade, it could well have been the first time they felt ...
