16 year old Max is incredibly passionate about animal welfare and making a difference. He is currently studying at the United World College of South East Asia, and also a member of PAW (Promoting Animal Welfare) in his school. MEET PEANUT – RED-FOOTED TORTOISE NATIVE TO SOUTH AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN!
This species is captured from the wild for the meat and the pet trade and smuggled worldwide. Peanut is one of the two red-footed tortoises rescued in Singapore, from the illegal wildlife trade. They currently live together in our outdoor sanctuary.
