Learning Compassion From Children. Often At Talks ..
4th Mar 2018, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

LEARNING COMPASSION FROM CHILDREN Often at talks and roadshows, the children we encounter give us hope for the future. It is heartening when children want justice to prevails with regard to animal cruelty. In many instances, they serve as an important source of inspiration in reigniting our compassion and kindness to animals. That said, it is never too late to extend our respect and care to the other living beings who share the Earth with us in the same way kids would. #EndAnimalCruelty #Kin...

KUDOS, SWITZERLAND! Many of us may have observed (with discomfort) how crabs, lobsters and frogs are housed in crowded or dirty conditions with their arms and pincers taped, just to end up in our food bowls. Switzerland, the first country to consider the dignity of animals in its constitution as early as 1992, is recognising the suffering of lobsters: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article -5404385/Switzerland-bans-killing-lobsters-boiling -water.html Thank you, Switzerland, for taking this...

VEGA, SURVIVOR OF THE ILLEGAL WILDLIFE TRADE Vega and three Indian star tortoises were found in front of our gate. We believe all four of them were kept as pets. Please, never buy wildlife or any products made from the animals’ parts. You can also become a Wildlife Supporter and learn more about the tortoises rescued from the trade. Follow the link for ...

24th Feb 2018, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

CRINKLE’S FIGHTING CHANCE TO LIVE She fought to the very end. Pit against a mist net and the sun, it ended being a lost cause. Mist nets are often used for animal research, yet in Singapore, countless wildlife have been entangled in these nets used by individuals to protect their fruiting trees. The problem here is that they aren’t responsibly monitored for captures. We can’t control the use of mist nets, but we can help these animals who require critical help. Please make a donation n...
