FROM STRANGERS TO ROOMMATES Cupcake, a flap-shelled turtle, and Homer, a yellow-spotted river turtle, are both non-native to Singapore. Smuggled from abroad, they each settled in illegal pets living in separate water tanks they once called home. Cupcake and Homer are now roommates at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre. PIP AND PIE Pip and Pie, two crested goshawk chicks, took a fall from the nest. After an overnight rest with fluids and food, our team assessed them to be strong enough for reunion.
