Mid This Month, We Hosted 20 Kindergarten Students..
30th Oct 2018, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

Mid this month, we hosted 20 kindergarten students from Twinklekidz at Bendemeer Pte Ltd and talked about animal protection, that no matter how tall they are, or how small their hands may be, their actions and words can mean a world of difference to the other species. At ACRES, we believe that there is no role too small, and no child too young when it comes to contributing to animal protection. Thank you Twinklekidz @ Bendemeer for the encouraging cards, your donation and the opportunity you g...

Update Of Rex. It's A Girl. Surprise, Surprise Aft..
27th Oct 2018, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

[UPDATE OF REX] IT'S A GIRL! Surprise, surprise! After a full health assessment, Rex is now renamed as Lexi! Little Lexi, who’s half the size of an A4 paper, seems to be coping well with quarantine. Typical for her species, Lexi loves her fish and polishes that up before the vegetables. She is quite shy when she’s approached in her tank, but she sure doesn’t like being handled for too long, making her medical check-ups and housekeeping a challenging time for the animal care team. The Illegal Pet Trade Has To End. Were Absolutely ..
26th Oct 2018, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

THE ILLEGAL PET TRADE HAS TO END! We’re absolutely gutted to encounter another “lost” exotic animal who succumbed to the unfamiliar foreign environment, no thanks to an individual who decided to keep her as an illegal pet. As if the poaching and smuggling wasn’t bad enough, this poor sugar glider had to endure the stress and starvation after a life in captivity. Of course, in that respect, she couldn’t win either way. BUT IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY. Please stand against the i...

Wish Upon A Star. Their Star-Like Radiating Yellow..
20th Oct 2018, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

WISH UPON A STAR Their star-like radiating yellow patterns on their shell is quite a stunner. And so, the Indian star tortoises often poached from the wild for the illicit pet trade, making them a vulnerable species listed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Repatriating these reptiles back to India will not only augment the endangered populations in India, but also demonstrate our zero tolerance of the illegal wildlife trade. HELP US MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Please donate ...

We Need Your Help Urgently. It's A Terrible Sight,..
13th Oct 2018, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

WE NEED YOUR HELP URGENTLY. It's a terrible sight, but we cannot apologise for the trauma that these wildlife go through until the cruel trade in exotic wildlife ends. An estimated 20,000 Indian star tortoises are poached from the wild in India each year to meet the demand for the illegal wildlife trade. From the point they are captured in the wild, to the smuggling, the transporting, and finally ending up thousands of miles away from home, Indian star tortoises suffer greatly. Life will never...
