APPEAL FOR INFORMATION: TURTLE CARCASS FOUND On 13th January 2021, ACRES was alerted by a concerned member of public to a video of an animal found wrapped and discarded at Tampines Quarry. Thanks to the poster, who shared with us the details of the location. APPEAL FOR INFORMATION ACRES was alerted by a concerned member of public to a pigeon with a DIY #dart at 547 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10 lift lobby around 10:30 am on 6th Jan 2021 . The poor pigeon who was disoriented was rescued with the help of the caller who kept watch on the pigeon. A wooden stick with a sharpened end was used as a dart by someone, which had punctured the pigeon’s right eye and lodged itself deep. 2020 was extraordinary year for most. Covid-19 changed many of our lives in more ways than one. For us at ACRES, we had to make changes to how our team worked with half working from home. We also lost an fellow ACRES family member which affected all of us. Fortunately, our 24-hour wildlife rescue carried on as essential services. With minimal manpower and just a small handful of dedicated volunteers, we managed to carry on as usual. We did not let Covid-19 hamper our efforts to help the voiceles...
