An adult monitor lizard, with a length of around 1.2m, was found in a 1.5m deep drain. Her belly, a circumference of probably 55cm, seemed gravid with eggs. In her natural habitat now, she lay motionless but alert, after running from the car park and into the drain, peering at each of our faces as more than 10 people surrounded the railing and looked do...

Villa, a young pigeon, was found on an overhead bridge. Alert without visible disabilities or injuries, Villa, who was seen with two other pigeons this afternoon, was nicely fed by something other then the untouched bread given by the caller. Her crop was nice and full! The rescue team decided to leave Villa there as her family was discovered roosting right under the bridge. Big thanks to the caller and her mother who will help continue to look out for her!

The ACRES Wildlife Rescue Team received a call where a snake was caught in the house. When the team arrived, they were utterly dismayed to find the snake had been clubbed to death in fear. According to the caller, the Paradise Tree snake leapt from the tree that is barely 3 feet away from the corridor, and headed straight into his room. His friend was also worried that the snake may carry diseases that could carry on to the caller's pregnant wife. The decision was then made to kill the snake be...
