Issey, a reticulated python, was found resting quietly in the hydrometer compartment of a building. The compartment is 3.5m long and 1.5m wide. Issey, annoyed at being disturbed and in the centre of attraction, used the area as a playground, slithering and hiding from the rescue officers. Issey has been safely relocated, but not without showing a grumpy attitude to the officers :)

Our heartfelt thanks to the informant who provided us with a tip-off last night about the smuggling of hedgehogs. As a result, 2 hedgehogs were seized from a passenger arriving in Singapore on board a flight from Bangkok. He had hidden the hedgehogs in his check-in suitcase. Please continue to provide us with tip-offs on our 24-hour Wildlife Rescue and Crime Hotline (9783 7782).

And we love this piggy bank that Ananya decorated beautifully, with the aim of putting the money that K2 raised inside. But it just wasn't quite big enough for all those pennies! The piggy bank is now brightening up the ACRES office, and reminding us how lucky the animals are to have such wonderful friends helping them!

Visibility on a wet and windy early morning! With the in-coming storm, the pythons from the rescue hotline calls seemed to have vanished. Possibly retreated to a warm corner. Amazing, this little thing called natural instinct!
