Thanks to 2 kind souls who acted efficiently, the ACRES van found the vehicle owner who rammed into us from the rear (the damage to the front of his vehicle is pictured below).
When the accident happened, our van turned in to a small alley but the vehicle owner, after stopping briefly at the scene, drove off. As luck would have it, these 2 guardian angels of ACRES approached the rescue team with information of the car details, and then later called our hotline to inform us that the owner had r...

There's no better time to stop and smell the flowers - except when you're unloading an animal carrier filled with python secretions.
Reticulated pythons have a tendency to secrete a nasty liquid to repel their enemy and make a run/slither for it.
Luckily, the rescue team has a row of Jasmine shrubs, now in full bloom, back at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre to comfort their sense of smell.

Fingers crossed, we will update everyone on Hope's injuries and the poss...

A distressed home owner called the rescue team who responded to the scene that nearly caused them a heart attack!
Upon seeing a species they couldn't identify, they feared this was an escapee exotic pet snake.
This snake turned out to be an abandoned toy snake! It was a good laugh for both the team and the home owner.
Moral of the story? Head down to Ikea for all your storage needs :) Their wooden furniture are from sustainable forests too!

"Now you see me, now you don't!"
A Banded bull frog could possibly be a victim of mistaken identity.
The ACRES rescue team was called to scene for a python in the garden, hiding in a hole with his head just visible.
As the team scattered leaves and probed for holes (a head) where the occupants pointed to, a plump, triangular body appeared among the fallen leaves. At this point, we're not quite sure who was more stunned- the officers, or the frog!
While no snakes were found in the premises, t...
