Supporters and volunteers help us make our wishes for the animals come true! Not only by speaking up for animals, calling us for wildlife in distress, but also by dropping off surprise donations in-kind which we love! How exciting!! The ACRES Wildlife Guardians training will be held this Saturday (the 15th of February 2014) at the ACRES Education Centre. Ever felt like doing your bit for the animals? From ACRES Lao PDR "In the first week of this month, we had four new animals in our care! The four macaques were donated in the middle of the night. The monk who brought them said he had traveled from a temple in southern Lao. He explained that the temple is very close to what is know locally as a 'monkey forest' and is home to many macaques. Since the opening of our outdoor sanctuary on the 14th Nov 2013, we are constantly making improvements to it. Our latest development would be the outdoor kitchen, that is being used to prepare food and enrichment for our animals now. The Unexpected Emergency: It was suppose to be a normal day of routine bandage change for Suzzie at the animal hospital. But things took a drastic turn. Dr Ly examined the condition of her already badly injured hand and decided that it has to be amputated.
