AWRC welcomes a very special visitor today. Mark, a seven year old boy who loves animals has decided that he wants to donate the red packets he collected for his birthday to an animal charity organization and this little boy chose ACRES.
He was brought around on an educational tour around AWRC. We shared with Mark that the money he has donated will bring help to the animals he has visited in the Outdoor Sanctuary, more enrichment, food, medical care and Mark got exhilarated!

Its been 4 weeks since Suzzie was rescued. Her fractured forearm seems quite limb and wont be strong enough for now. The swelling on her hand has subsided but unfortunately, she's not moving her fingers. She will begin her physiotheraphy sessions next week. The good news is there are fresh granulating tissues growing to cover the open wounds.

Suzzie – Follow up
A week after Suzzie was brought to ARVC (Animal Recovery Veterinary Referral Center) ,the swelling on her hand got worse. The Macaque Rescue Team have been heading down to the clinic everyday attending to her. Here's an update from them: " We were even told to be prepared for amputation if the swelling got worse. The Asia for Animals Conference 2014 has finally drawn to a close, and was a huge success!!
Opinions were exchanged, ideas were shared, and more importantly, the fight for animal welfare has made great strides through this conference.
