The biggest and longest dive show in Asia gets even bigger this year! Organised by the Underwater 3some Group (UW3some), the Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) 2014 turns 20 this year. Taking place over three days from April 11-13, 2014, at Marina Bay Sands, Expo Hall B and C, ADEX 2014 will be having world-renowned marine life artists, conservationists, and photographers to speak about their passion and work towards marine life.

The Asiatic black bear upgrade begins!
Work has started on the upgrade of our Asiatic black bear enclosure. The upgrade, which involves installing new electric fencing and building a holding cage, will allow us to finally release the male bears from their cages.
Once complete, the upgrade will allow the bears to roam freely, enjoy enrichment and sleep in a more natural and comfortable environment.
Huge thanks to the generous volunteers from Singapore who have helped to fund this project.

The past few weeks, we had been focusing on enrichment's for our tortoises, This week however, ACRES volunteers helped to put together 3 sets of floating barges with some scrap wood/materials to provide our Giant Asian pond turtles with new dietary/play enrichment. The barges challenge the turtles to climb and be more mobile to get to the food. These guys are nocturnal, so the video has to be taken early in the morning when they are still relatively active. Its been a week since Suzzie's final surgery. The 2-hour intensive surgery gave her the renewed chance to move on all 4 limbs. Suzzie is starting to adapt to this new change and we can't express how amazed and thankful we are seeing her indomitable fighting spirit.

"VOLUNTEERS HELPS HOLDS AN ORGANISATION STRONGER TOGETHER."
This is definitely the first time these girls had to work in weather driven conditions under the hot sweltering sun, sudden down pour, caring for a group of usually overlooked or misunderstood species by many. Our special group of reptiles out in our outdoor wildlife sanctuary who were rescued.
