TRAPPED PIGEONS: UPDATE Many of you wrote to us or tagged us, on your concerns regarding trapped pigeons found at a columbarium. ACRES received a call on 13th Nov from a concerned member of public about pigeons trapped in a cage (as shown in photo), with some of them dead in crowded conditions. We found a total of 18 pigeons, of which 8 were unfortunately dead. We rescued the ten rock pigeons, of which 2 sadly passed away on the way to our facility. TRAPPED AND POSSIBLY EATEN ALIVE😱 A mynah was found caught in a trap. The trap had crushed the blood and nerve supply to one of his legs. Our veterinary team had to perform two surgeries: One to remove his necrotic leg. Another to stitch up the wound on his head, possibly from being attacked by pigeons or rats while he was immobilized.
