That downpour sure didn't dampen the spirits of our wildlife warriors running to raise funds for ACRES, whilst most of us were still fast asleep in bed on an early Sunday morning. Thank you Samuel, Kelvin, Jocelyn, Sabrina & Liz!
ACRES is the only charity organisation in Singapore that does wildlife rescue. Actively reaching out to spread awareness and to tackle wildlife crime in Singapore!

Part of our work in ACRES involves in the rehabilitation of our rescued animals from the illegal wildlife trade. This week, we
made some changes to our medium-sized male Star tortoise enclosures. We made changes to this enclosure in particular, as this group were adapting very well to the outdoor environment. They have also showed increased levels of activity. We decided to take their enclosure set-up to the next level by adding new plants that enhance their environment through color and terrain...

Remember Mia ? The first macaque that we rescued from a fractured pelvis, rehabilitated for 2 intensive months and released successfully? It has been 8 months since she began her new life with her troop and this afternoon, we managed to catch a glimpse of her up close and personal. Have a look at her then and now!
"Mia has grown to be a beautiful young lady and seeing her today was magical. At first she hesitated but gradually, she came forward towards me. She cant speak but through the facial ...

Adisa, our Savannah monitor lizard is one of the newest residents in ACRES. She was found roaming at a private residential area.
Unlike our native Water monitor lizards, Savannah monitor lizards are much smaller but with a stocky body built. They can grow up to 5 feet in length. All of us were treated to the sight of cherry blossoms ; the flowers of the Trumpet Tree following the aftermath of a prolonged period of dry spell in the recent month. And while the rest of the young macaques get to play and roll on the flowers alongside with their families in the wild, Suzzie doesn't get to experience that.
