This year's Flag Day will be even bigger!
We have concrete plans to bring animal cruelty and its many forms to an end. With the funds raised, we will be able to launch these plans promptly and effectively.
Let us end animal cruelty together! We are calling for everyone to raise their hands as volunteer fundraisers for the animals.

A very quiet person who is starting to come out from her comfort zone to help the animals. May her story reach out to many!

We were greeted with 2 beautiful wild oriental pied hornbills - this time not from a public call! They were sighted this morning near our rescue centre! It is a privilege to be able to see wildlife like them.
Hornbills play an important role in the health of the forest as it disperses seeds that are too big for smaller birds to eat.
The Oriental pied hornbill is critically endangered in the Red list of threatened animals in Singapore. So count yourself lucky if you spot them! Have a good wedn...

Its our "Runner feature" series yet again! The ACRES wildlife rescue team also works together with police officers in response to public calls on wildlife sightings. Here's a police officer who came forward to help the animals; this time - off duty!

1. Wildlife Guardians Training Programme (SGD $30.00 training fee)
Wildlife Guardian trainees who successfully graduate from the the course will assist at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC) at 91 Jalan Lekar, Singapore 698917 with animal care duties, enclosures maintenance and providing environmental enrichment for the animals.

So, we got off to a damp start. But spirits were not dampened! A rainbow appeared after the rain. Our bartender has started shaking up his drinks (under the rainbow no less)! Our animal friends are waiting with bated breath for the Animal Kingdom Bouncy Castle to open its doors, and the aroma of food seems to be infecting everyone, even our volunteers! The first ever ACRES Carnival is in motion now! So COME ON DOWN NOW to the Youth Park!!!

THE ACRES 2014 CARNIVAL is finally happening tomorrow!
Everyone has been so excited preparing for this and we know we will have an awesome good time!!! Two of ACRES lovely dogs will be there to give us moral support to END ANIMAL CRUELTY too! Be sure to come join us at YOUTH PARK from 10am - 5pm!

Its two more days to our first ever ACRES 'End Animal Cruelty' Carnival, and boy are we pumped up and excited!! You may look forward to music, fun, games, and glorious food too! Bring an empty stomach!

Is intolerance to sharing our living space with the wildlife we have animal cruelty? ACRES often receive calls about poison pigeons, or mynahs caught in glue traps. Two of the many examples of acts carried out to get rid of them. Often how one has forgotten that this is their only home too.
