Here's an interesting animal that stole the limelight while the Macaque Team was out taking photo identification of a Macaque troop!

As our runners have started donning on the bibs and doing their part to raise awareness for the animals through the various races, here's one ultra runner who will be racing out of Singapore this coming Sunday!

This post shows the process of reintroducing a macaque to the troop.
In this case, one macaque had been in quarantine for a few days to receive treatment for an injury.
Over time, there was a possibility that his troop may have forgotten him, and attack him as a result.
We needed to work as a team to ensure his safety, the safety of the rest of the troop, and that of our own.

Did you know that the Long-Tailed Macaques take afternoon naps?
Here's a young macaque who must have gotten so exhausted from morning play that she decided to close her eyes as soon as she found a comfortable branch to cling on to! The ACRES Macaque Team captured this shot and waited for a good 20-30 minutes before she woke up!
