Tilikum & Keiko fell into captivity at the age of 2.
Keiko returned home to freedom eventually where he belongs when free willy became such a big hit even years after the movie was screened.
Would the story of Tilly be known worldwide too. Can we make Tilly and all of his kind in captivity now the last Willy.

Remember Keiko? Many fondly remember him as Free Willy. We fell in love with this massive whale on screen.
December 12, 2003 -- The Free Willy Keiko Foundation and The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) reported today that Keiko, the orca whale, died today in the Taknes fjord, Norway, in the company of staff members who have been caring for him there.

This morning at 8am, the Macaque Team successfully herded a troop from residential houses back to the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in 20minutes. The team has been following the Hindhede Troop hence they knew them individually. The team also knows the distribution range of the troop.

Not everyone can do an ultra marathon! Kick starting a week of various running events, we have Chua Meng Kiat who will be doing the 100km TMBT Ultra marathon in Sabah.
This is an extreme, outdoor ultra trail marathon catering for experienced, seasoned trail runners. It takes a lot of discipline and mental strength! Chua Meng Kiat's support to run for ACRES and the wildlife through this very tough race is symbolic of the battles our animals have to face each day.

Did you know just like our fingerprints, the stripes on a tiger is individually marked with no repeated occurance between 2 tigers?
"We should learn to let go of what we love instead of clenching on so tightly, shouldn't we?" Be an animal friendly tourist making the right choices, the illegal sales, cruelty and chains will all come off eventually.

National Day Enrichment @ ACRES

Despite running a 24-hour Wildlife Rescue hotline for 365 days, we ensure that the animals in our rescue center receive optimal care. While we rescue those in need, there are others who are undergoing rehabilitation prior to their release back into the wild. Providing a range of enrichments are important to stimulate natural behaviors and to ensure they remain wild.
Here's a simple food-based enrichment that we did in celebration of the Nation's 49th Birthday!
