Over the past 2 months, many volunteers have turned up to contribute their time and effort to make a difference for our animals. A new pond, shed, and so much more! Pretty much what our animals in our sanctuary would chatter in excitement about if they could speak! AWRC underwent major upgrades and clean up works last Sunday! It is always mesmerizing to see macaques leaping distances between trees up to 5 meters! Animal Trivia Monday: Today I found out that, dolphins can recognize their old friends even after being 20 years apart. Today I also found out that I can help protect by learning about these dolphins this coming 30th October. The Long-tailed macaque is also known as the Crab-eating macaque. In Thailand and Myanmar, these intelligent primates use stone tools to open nuts, oysters and various types of sea snails along the Andaman sea coast and offshore islands. Another instance of tool use is washing and rubbing foods such as papaya leaves before consumption. They either soak these foods in water or rub them through their hands as if to clean them.
