Over the past 2 months, many volunteers have turned up to contribute their time and effort to make a difference for our animals. A new pond, shed, and so much more! Pretty much what our animals in our sanctuary would chatter in excitement about if they could speak!
AWRC underwent major upgrades and clean up works last Sunday! This massive project to revitalise our rescue centre at 91 Jalan Lekar would never had been made possible without these VOLUNTEERS who took time out for an entire Sunday just to get down and dirty to support and help the animals, and us; a selfless act that we are very grateful for.

It is always mesmerizing to see macaques leaping distances between trees up to 5 meters!
Have a look at this article below, as a couple in Florida captured a troop of macaques diving 30 feet out of a tree into alligator-infested water!

In Lao PDR, the staff and volunteers have been trying hard to make life for Kaew Khun better until we can develop her own island.
Recently, with the help of volunteers, we fixed the shower in her enclosure. She has probably not experienced a shower before ACRES, hence her reaction - watch it in the video below!

The Long-tailed macaque is also known as the Crab-eating macaque. In Thailand and Myanmar, these intelligent primates use stone tools to open nuts, oysters and various types of sea snails along the Andaman sea coast and offshore islands.

Wildlife Guardian trainees who successfully graduate from the the course will assist at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC) at 91 Jalan Lekar, Singapore 698917 with animal care duties, enclosures maintenance and providing environmental enrichment for the animals.
