WALNUT MEETS PEANUT!
Many of you may have read about Walnut, the red-footed tortoise who was recovering from severe necrotic skin wounds. He was also the inspiration for our recent online fundraiser “Warmth for Walnut”. Walnut has shown his ability to be tough and hardy - as red-footed tortoises are known to be - and has since recovered.

BIKE AND ROSSA HEAD HOME!
Look at them go!
It’s always heart-warming to see the animals that we've rescued recover and greet their natural home once again. Catch this short clip as Bike and Rossa return back home after 1 month of intensive care and rehabilitation for their injuries.

SUPER GOOD NEWS!!
One month on since we ended our #WarmthForWalnut campaign (to provide enclosures for sick tortoises and rescued snakes), donations still kept pouring in!
The last time we updated you, we were delighted to share that we were more than halfway to reaching the target amount. Now, thanks to your kind contributions, we have just reached $21,525 out of the $22,000 we set out to raise!

KEEP THEM WILD AND FREE: GREEN IGUANA
This is Valerie, a green iguana: a native of The Americas.
Green iguanas can grow to human length, and are equipped with strong jaws, razor-sharp teeth, powerful claws, and sharp tails that are about half their body length. Males are typically aggressive and territorial. Iguanas are notoriously difficult to care for - most dying within their first year of captivity, or turned loose by their owners.

FLIP AND FLOP REUNITED WITH THEIR PARENTS!
Nothing beats a rescue that ends in a perfect successful reunion of lost young animals with their parent/s!
Flip and Flop are two little mynah chicks (top left), who were found on the ground one night. We ensured that Flip and Flop were kept safe overnight, and returned to the exact location in the morning to attempt a reunion with their parents.

ACRES will be attending the Memorial Service for Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, hosted by the Nee Soon GRC tomorrow at 8.15pm. We hope you will join us there and pay our last respects together as members of the animal welfare community.
The event will be held at the Nee Soon Central CC Hardcourt (Beside Yishun MRT). We will be meeting and gathering at the Community Tribute Site area. Our members of staff will be wearing the black ACRES uniform.
