LOVE IS PATIENT. LOVE IS KIND.
When children are encouraged to love, what lessons should we teach them?
How wonderful it would be if they learn that love is: care, understanding, support, giving, respect, greatness, compromise and appreciation. Love is not: selfishness, possession, abuse, hurt, discrimination, or intolerance.
We recently visited the children at Pat’s Schoolhouse Claymore to share with them some ideas for being kind to animals. They now know that it is kinder to adopt an ...

WANT TO SAVE DOLPHINS?
You may have the equipment we need for our groundbreaking study!
If we can get the following items donated (second hand in good condition is fine), it means we have more funds for running our study, meaning we can study the dolphins for a longer time, and in greater depth (pun intended!).
If you can spare any of the following item/s, please contact Naomi@acres.org.sg, or call us at +65 6892 9821. As we have limited manpower, it would be great if you could drop off the i...

MEET LEO, A LEOPARD GECKO!
Leo, an albino leopard gecko, was most probably abandoned by his owner after being illegally kept as a pet in Singapore, or he could have escaped.
Leopard geckos are found in the dry and desert regions of South-Asia. This includes places such as Iran, down to parts of North-West India. The black spots on their body and their habit of stalking prey have given them their name: leopard gecko. Leo, however, lacks these spots as he is an albino morph. This means that he ...

KEEP THEM WILD AND FREE: HELP US WIPE OUT WILDLIFE CRIME
A wakeup call to all want-to-be exotic pet owners in Singapore!
A Singaporean was caught at Woodlands Checkpoint on the 25th of March 2015 attempting to smuggle a bearded dragon and an iguana, hidden in the spare tyre compartment of his car, into the country.
