Thank you, all donors, supporters, volunteers and sponsors, for Flag Day 2014 (3 Dec '14 (Wed))!
We thank all our dedicated volunteers who took time out to volunteer even when it was on a weekday.
We raised as much as we could, thanks in large part to the kind generosity and warm support of our donors.
We're in the process of tallying the figures, and will provide an indication of the amount raised at the earliest available opportunity.

Earlier this afternoon, SPCA rescued a community cat from being trapped between the grilled slats of a side gate, at a Lorong in Geylang. The cat was observed to have been stuck in its tight spot for at least twenty minutes.
Our rescue officers, Eswaran and Glen, rushed to the scene within ten minutes of the distress call by the informers. A reasonable amount of cat shampoo was applied onto the cat's body, helping to lubricate the cat so that it could be gradually eased out of its predicament....

Fighting heartworm, heart-warmingly!
We want to raise funds for (at least) one year’s worth of heartworm preventive medication, for all dogs in our shelter.
Come help us get our dogs over to “the right side of the fence”, into that forever home they’ve long awaited, filled with love, warmth and heart.

Giving Senior Pets Their Second Chance.

Happy Endings, at last, for POPPY & MAO MAO, senior doggies!
Schnauzer MAO MAO has been adopted, by this time, by a kind family! She has been checked by the vet and started on a skin medication routine for her existing condition. She has also begun special physiotherapy sessions, and is expected to "be on her feet in a month".
Shih-Tsu POPPY, on the other hand, has just settled in nicely with her new adopting family, and is getting comfortable in her new surroundings. She is doing very well, ...

Wookiee, adopted by Vivienne and her family from SPCA’s shelter in January 2014, is just as capable of pulling off tricks, like balancing biscuits on his face, as he is of giving love to his forever family!

The NTUC FairPrice Foundation has generously sponsored NTUC's and SPCA's charity movie private screening of "Penguins of Madagascar", on 16 December 2014 at Golden Village Plaza Singapura, specially for children under the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

SPCA's Annual Flag Day, on 3 Dec 2014 (Wed)!
For SPCA's Flag Day on 3 December 2014 (Wed), we are appealing for volunteers to take a tin each and collect donations. As a token of appreciation, all volunteers will each receive a certificate of participation (and be awarded community involvement hours if the volunteer is a student).
The collection centres will be scheduled at three locations, namely,

Cat led from the roof to the ground….
Just yesterday (Sun, 16 Nov 2014), SPCA was alerted to a cat seen perched atop a beam near the ceiling of IMM’s Shuttle Bus Pick-up Point in Jurong. The cat has been seen at that spot for a good five days, according to our informer (Ms Rani).
