Animal Lovers Want Stricter Rules For Pet Cafes 27th Dec 2014, by SPCA Singapore
Where setting up pet cafes is concerned, SPCA's stand is that animal welfare has to take precedence, at all times, over all else in the cafe concerned, including the business operations and profit.
In any of such cafes concerned, the animals' welfare cannot be compromised, at any time.

Thanks to the Straits Times for publishing SPCA's statement regarding the blame placed on the dogs in Bukit Batok.
SPCA appeals to all members of the public to show a little more empathy towards community animals, many of whom shelters are not able to take in owing to severe space and resource constraints.

Stop Feeding Stray Dogs In Bukit Batok, Public Urged 26th Dec 2014, by SPCA Singapore
SPCA would like to assure all concerned
- that SPCA will help to re-home the 4 puppies that were trapped amid the anti-rodent infestation operations that have gone on since the past week.
At the earliest possible opportunity, SPCA will be bailing out the 4 puppies from the AVA.
SPCA has also issued a statement to the press, published in The Straits Times, "Home" section, page B6, 24 Dec 2014 edition, giving its stand on the issue of the Bukit Batok rat infestation.

X'mas feeding at SPCA by our team of dog mentors
Just this afternoon (24 Dec), our dedicated team of dog mentors served our shelter animals with their X'mas treats comprising special party treats and/or meatloaf (for the dogs) specially baked and prepared for this festive occasion.

Just this afternoon (24 Dec), we treated all our animal friends to oodles of X'mas goodness, including:
- meatloaf and other meats
- stuffed toys (for the dogs), scratch toys (for the cats) & other goodies (for the smaller animals); and also
- special treats foodstuff

X'mas feeding at SPCA - Round 1
Just yesterday (23 Dec), we treated our dogs to meatloaf from The Barkery, donated to our shelter dogs by a supporter and friend of the SPCA, Karen Pong.
Our dogs indeed have had reason to be jolly!
Our sincere thanks go out to all our volunteers who joined us, to Karen, and to Samantha Ooi for recording the proceedings.

We’re pleased to add that 15-year-wise Schnauzer MAO MAO finally walks again!
