Bengal Cat Giveaway: Animal Welfare Groups Opposed 28th Jan 2015, by SPCA Singapore
Thanks to alerts we've received from concerned Netizens, SPCA has been apprised of a Facebook post that offered to give away a Bengal kitten to a lucky person who has liked that page.
Our response to media queries, on this issue, reiterates our opposition to giving animals as presents/gifts:

Remember MAO MAO, the 15-year-wise Schnauzer who's regrettably lost her ex-owner to a terminal illness recently?
She's been re-homed with her new adopters (Uma's family) around early December last year, and has since regained her ability to walk (when she could not, prior to that)!
What's more, she's also grown some fur of late! Way to go, senior fur-kid!
Come check out how Mao Mao's got her fur - and her groove - back! The image here shows her from the point she was first re-homed [left phot...

COCO the cat, happily ever after!
15-year-wise COCO, once scrounging for food scraps at a Clementi hawker centre as a kitten, has come a long way.
Those glorious eyes of hers are what first attracted Naomi Keefe to her, on that fateful day that would bring Coco into the hearts and home of Naomi’s family, and even into New Zealand (for a few years) and out, and now back to our local shores.
Our sincere thanks to Naomi Keefe for making another furkid’s dream, of a loving home, come true. ...

JOJO the cat, happily ever after!
JOJO, adopted by Joan and Brian from SPCA’s shelter 3 years ago in Jan 2012, has just turned seven years wise, making him the eldest in the family now (in terms of human years) though he remains the forever fur-kid!
Jojo is surely pampered at home, with a healthy balance of rest (spending his idyllic and idle afternoons lazing by the safely grilled windows) and exercise (indulging in lizard catching!).
Jojo’s Happy Tale can be read here:
